In this thread I began about an image from the artwork folder. I have the other questions answered but the image is Gilbert image 254x191. Is there also another size that needs to be made for this image for HD? If so, what dimensions?

The videoplayer example uses the same images for both SD and HD. Are you having a problem with it not working in HD?

Hi belltown,

I just wanted to make sure because I made the SD and HD images for the main channel manifest graphics and see the the categories xml shows SD and HD. Just wasn't sure if I had missed it stated somewhere in the sdk.

If what you're talking about is the artwork for the Channel Store and the Home Screen then the SDK contains a document, "Homescreen and Channel Store Artwork Guidelines", in the file artwork-guidelines-v3.pdf. This document gives Roku's recommendations for this artwork, including different sizes for SD and HD images. So yes, you can make different images for SD and HD, which seems to be what they recommend, although in practice it seems that you can use the same image for both SD and HD, and this is what several of the examples in the SDK do.

I read about the sizes for those. Been making one for each SD and HD..

Do you happen to know the correct dimensions to use for display advertisements that show at the bottom of the screens?

Thanks for the link to the post about the image sizes. I didn't see the dimension 254x191 listed there. When I took a look at the artwork folder, the pics that came in the videoplayer example are 254x191 for example the BenjaminZander. Is it ok to still use this same size for the replacement images?
