I am trying to prevent Roku sleep timeout inside the app.
Is it possible to prevent the Roku sleep timeout when I play Steaming inside my app?
Can anyone suggest any way to achieve this?
I am looking to continue streaming.
Currently, when I play any channel on my Roku, it sometimes automatically displays Roku Roku(with an up-and-down motion).
Can I control this inside the App?
When I see some apps, it's not coming, and some apps, it's coming.
I need to know how this is not coming.
Are you talking about the user-set sleep timer that's on Roku TVs? There's no way to stop that, but it's also activated manually.
There is a "bandwidth saver" feature that's on by default that returns the user to the home screen after four hours of no interaction with the device, even if streaming is active. This is under user control (see Settings/Network) and can can't be changed by the application.
There's also an auto-exit timer for apps that returns to home screen if no media is playing and the user hasn't interacted, usually set to 2 hours. This isn't a user-visible setting.
You said "There's also an auto-exit timer for apps that returns to home screen if no media is playing and the user hasn't interacted, usually set to 2 hours. This isn't a user-visible setting."
Is that a setting a developer can change in a channel?
