Handbrake...first few seconds..help requested
I've been using Handbrake to encode videos. It's been working great up until now.
The first few seconds of the video plays what looks like slo-motion, audio is heard then it kicks into normal. Anyone had this happen? If so, what settings have you found to fix it?
Other videos were encoding great. All of the videos are shot with the same camera and same settings. Some videos encoded great and others didn't. I'm guessing I must have changed a setting somehow.
Thank you.

Re: Handbrake...first few seconds..help requested
Guess I'm the only one with a broken handbrake.
The original source video plays well but after I encode in handbrake it takes the first 3 seconds and makes it look like slow motion then it plays fine. I've redited the clip and encoded differently three times or more in handbrake. I also encoded with Any Video Converter. It plays fine on computer but not working on the Roku. Retrieves half way and then goes back to the detailsscreen.
If you know a fix for what it's doing, let me know.
Thank you.

Re: Handbrake...first few seconds..help requested
Hi
0.9.5 on windows 7.
Was working great when I first tried it. But last two videos not doing right. One of them I got fixed by doing a 2nd encode. One still has lag first three seconds. Going to try another video and see what happens with it.

The first ones did okay as mentioned. They are 720x480 avi's that were shot in SD.

Re: Handbrake...first few seconds..help requested
I tried handbrake again today. it sued to work. Not sure what the problem is. The edited file looks just fine. Encode it and it is choppy first 3 seconds or it's a like a slo-mo effect.
I tried several different videos and it does the same now for all. I tried the Regular High Profile, Regular Normal. On the last encode the Regular Normal looked better than the others but the audio looks to be a tad out of sync plus the choppy effect at the start.
Any suggestions?
Any other avi to mp4 converters good for Roku?
Thank you.

Re: Handbrake...first few seconds..help requested
I've had more problems when changing the framerate of a video during reencoding. You can try using a different codec revision to see if that fixes it.

Re: Handbrake...first few seconds..help requested
I've tried the universal setting, normal and high profile. Tried it with many different settings. What settings are you using?
I think I will to a reinstall and see if maybe something is conflicting with it. If I find the fix, I'll post it for others.
