GridScreenDescription render discrepancy between models

While working on backwards compatibility on my channels I noticed how the description bubble renders text differently depending on the platform.

This is how it looks on 3.1 ROKU XD

This is how it looks on newer models, ROKU 2 XD (disregard display errors, just look at the description bubble)

Is there a way to have this show up more consistently or we just need to deal it?

Thanks!

If you mean the difference in the way the rating is displayed, that's by design. In newer firmwares it's text rather than a graphic.

Cool, but there's is also a discrepancy on text sizing and placement.
Can that be optimized?
Thanks!

Re: GridScreenDescription render discrepancy between models

Are you using a mixed-aspect-ratio grid? If so, the only way I've found to optimize it is to use different description bubble graphics depending on platform. It seems that the Roku 1 has a much wider top margin for that grid type than the Roku 2/3. If you take a screenshot with the default graphic, you can use that to figure out the proper sizing and placement, but it's still a headache.

^ This is what I assumed.
Sounds good, I'll manage.
Thanks for the clarification!
