Updated Chaneru to 2.0.10
Should have faster folder browsing. Changed method and the amount of data retrieved from the media servers to just title and location. The other detailed information is loaded when the item is actually used. This may slow the display of some items in the list view BUT the savings in amount of time and memory used is substantial. The Roku might not crash now for users with a large amount of media files.
Found a problem with remote button clicks. Added another msg port to retrieve just the remote clicks. Now, when there is a lot of network traffic, the remote is checked first. Which makes it a little more responsive.
Added support for on the fly transcoding for Serviio version 1.3 which is currently in beta testing. Here are the links to the Serviio profiles for Chaneru.

Transcoding 1.3You need to update Serviio’s profiles.xml file by placing my change just before the “</Profiles>” line at the end of the file.
You can locate the file on a Mac by right clicking the Serviio application (not Serviio-Console) and selecting “Show Package Contents”. It is contained in the folder “Contents/Resources/Java/config”. It is in “C:/Program Files/Serviio/config” on Windows.
You may have to limit the video bit rate, ex: (maxVBitrate="2000") if Roku rebuffers using your network. You could also try unchecking “Produce the best video quality” in Serviio’s options. I would also suggest running with the lowest number of cores that can keep up with the Roku’s transfers. These options, you just have to Play with to find what works for you. You can tell if your CPU is keeping up by pausing a movie and there should be a number of minutes on the right of the progress bar. This is how much Serviio is ahead in the transcode.
These profiles are a good starting point.
