We have been using Wowza and Roku for over 6 months. We have been looking for the best experience possible for our viewers.
Many of our live streams and VOD are single stream/bitrate on HLS. What is the best config on Wowza for these types of setup? Our bitrate on average are 1200K. Even with users having very fast cable internet we are experiencing "loading, please wait issues".
We are looking for configurations that have had good experience with Wowza and Roku. What are your config for VOD? Livestream? Is it better going to Silverlight?
We know Roku recommends 8X 10 Second segments. Since we have a single bitrate, would increasing the 10 second segments help improve the "loading please wait" issues? What can we do to make it work well for the slow speed DSL users?
