We have had the voice remote pro for almost 3 months, and did not know that it was active listening since we got it. There is a slider on the left side of the remote that can disable this, and it is now disabled. I also went in and turned off the retention of voice recordings, but noted any already captured are not deleted. Is there a way to request these to be deleted.
BTW, we discovered it was active listening because my wife has misplaced the remote twice in the past 3 days and when we were discussing that we could not find it, the remote finder alert started, which helped us to locate it and also alerted us that it was listening. This student of Aldous Huxley and George Orwell is not happy about it.
