I was getting ready to watch some recorded shows and got up from the recliner with the remote in the same hand that I reached out to turn the tv towards me to stop window reflection. ZAP! Remote does not work now.

Could you try re-pairing your remote to your Roku device and see if that will resolve the issue you're experiencing? This remote does not have a reset button and it has a moon for sleep.
No pair button!
