@renojim Yes, I got rid of that annoying "suggested for you" line and it's easier, one click up. We have to keep things simple for my husband to find, he's the least techno person on the planet. 😊 

One day when I get time, I'll play with it more, but for now this is working easier. 

Thanks so much for your help. One day I'll have to look at the Roku 2 we have in the family room and see what I can do with it. But that's a project for another day.

i went through all 8 codes for samsung and the sound did not turn off?

are there any next steps?

@dmk77777, I gave up on it. Wouldn't work for me either. I just have mine set now with the "off" icon on the screen. Click on that and it all shuts down.

Sanyo tv will not power on or off also no volume control

@NM18 mine on Samsung doesn't either. Not worth the bother. Can you get the "off" icon on your roku home screen? That's what I use to turn all off. As far as sound/volume, we don't use the TV sound so that's a moot point for us. 

A lot of folks suggested various things to try, if you go back through the thread you'll see what's been suggested.
