I see that Roku reps/techs repeatedly ask for device information, Roku specs but have never posted a universal solution or recommendation to the sticky/unresponsive/intermittent button issue. Has Anyone received a satisfactory fix or response from them?

I switched from IR to CEC through settings and it fixed my issue

- Press the Home button on the Roku remote
- Select Settings
- Select System
- Select Control other devices (CEC)
- Highlight System audio control and check the box to enable it
- Highlight 1-touch play and check the box to enable it

Thanks So much @reelrookie. I'm on the verge of switching to a CEC remote option; BUT... It's ridiculous that @Roku doesn't step-up and assist those of us who've gotten stuck with their inferiorly-engineered product. We're just forced to throw money at yet something else.

Pure thievery, bad design and absolutely no pride in their products.
After 2 weeks of working, my 5th ROKU voice remote has stopped working. The same fault on every **bleep** one. The > button is now unresponsive.
ROKU should be be absolutely ashamed of their voice remote. Cheaply made rubbish with no quality control whatsover. ROKU are more than aware of this manufaturing fault. They cannot not be aware of it.
As their remotes are of such bad quality and the technical support here being 'cut and paste' nonsense from CS reps that have no idea what they're talking about, it'll be off to Google with a new Google TV Streamer 4K after this ROKU sh*t. What a despicable company.

Roku replaced two of my remotes with this problem. Sadly, it now appears that one of the replacements has failed again. Has anyone had any luck obtaining additional replacements?

It's a streaming stick + HD 4k/hdr: SKU #3810R Lot #2189041010; device ID2139A9512737. We have had the issue with the remote for a year and received a replacement Voice Remote with TV controls (SKU#RCA1R) this summer. The new remote generally works other than the fast forward button, which works intermittently and requires that you press it down very hard.

I appreciate you providing the requested information. Additionally, is the fast-forward button hard to press only with a specific channel/app or throughout every piece of content that you stream?
In the meantime, I recommend you perform the troubleshooting steps below to see any improvements.
- Reboot your voice remote
- Reboot your streaming device
- Replace or recharge the batteries in your voice remote
- Re-pair your voice remote to your streaming device
