Roku Voice Remote Pro with earbuds

Will this remote still allow sound to be played  through the TV? I’m hearing-impaired & need to use earbuds but I also need TV sound for my husband.

No, unfortunately, when using earphones plugged into the Voice Remote Pro, it shuts off the tv speakers.

No, unfortunately, when using earphones plugged into the Voice Remote Pro, it shuts off the tv speakers.
