If the Roku tv remote is wifi voice remote it will control your Roku TV volume via wifi. Even though the Roku tv came with wifi remote it will still accept IR commands from remotes that use the same IR code set. Which many non-Roku tv do. Roku tv's use a very popular tv code set that has been around for over 30 years, so there are many different tv brands that could be using the same IR code set as your Roku tv. What brand of non-Roku tv you have?
