Remote OK arrows no longer “skip”
The left/right arrows on my Roku remote do not “skip” in few minutes increments - I have to use the voice command “skip back 3 minutes”
My Amazon fire remote functions much better: ok arrows skip and the rewind/fast forward allows me to see where I am in the program. Roku I’m forced to just guess. Not ideal

Re: Remote OK arrows no longer “skip”
Amazon Fire TV remotes are absolutely superior to the poorly designed battery draining Roku remotes that are full of pairing issues and button malfunctions. Complain and maybe you'll get a new remote but most likely your new Roku remote could have problems also.

What channel app are you viewing?
It may not be apparent to many users that the various channel owners create a version of their app to run on the operating system for each streaming platform (Roku, Fire TV, etc) they wish to support. The developers submit and maintain their app for each platform.
Depending on the skills of the developers' programmers, you may see functional differences between their app versions on different platforms.
Roku will echo your key presses to the channel app, but what the app does with them is up to the developers of their app.
