Re: Remotes keep failing

My Roku 4K stick remote flat out failed in 1 year and the 4K+ set I just bought 6 weeks ago is now jumping 2 or 3 items at a time.  The only thing I can do is remove the batteries and it will work for another 5 or 6 clicks before it starts jumping again.

Is ROKU failing as a system?  why can't removes last more than just days after the warranty ends?????

Re: **bleep** Remotes keep failing

@jjdugan-

For the "remote jumping" problem, try restarting your Roku. (Note that if yours is a Roku TV with "Fast start" enabled, turning it off and back on just puts it into and out of a standby state and does NOT give you a complete restart.)

Depending on your Roku model and Roku version number you'll find the "System restart" option under "Settings > System > Power" or if not there, under "Settings > System".

If a restart doesn't do it, or if you don't have sufficient control with the remote to navigate the Roku menus, you can also restart by pulling the power plug to the Roku for a few seconds then plugging it back in and waiting for it to restart.
