It drove me crazy, the remote would have a mind of it's own. I read all the boards and tried all the tricks. But FINALLY, I took a cotton pad with rubbing alcohol and really cleaned the remote. and VOILA!!! I took a pin and went around all the buttons, etc.
Thinking about it, we use hand creams, eat food and our hands are not always clean when we pick up that remote.
