I was using a Roku voice remote for 3 yrs & all of a sudden the one/off & volume stopped working.  I have done everything to trouble but after pairing it will not set up to my Samsung tv (2017)...the music doesn't mute 

So this week I ordered a replacement remote, worked Tues & Wed and stopped today controlling the on/off& volume.

Also my tv remote will not control the on/off & volume BUT did when the Roku remote did.

Very puzzling..

@Mswildfire Sad to say but it sounds like the ir sensor on the TV has gone bad.  If you can turn the TV on try turning on one touch control on the Roku device and the CEC, I think it is called Anynet Plus on the Samsung TV.
