It’s when we’re sitting around talking and/or listening to music through a Bluetooth speaker. I suspect the remote is hearing a command that it thinks is a request to turn on the TV. I’d like to prevent this without turning off the switch on the side of the remote because disabling the microphone kind of defeats the purpose of finding the lost remote using the microphone. Plus having to turn it off and on every time I want to use it is inconvenient and just one more thing to remember when I turn off the tv. What can I do?
Hi, @Pittpa
Thanks for reaching out!
I understand the issue you have encountered with the Roku Voice Remote Pro, and I'm here to help.
To troubleshoot the issue, here's the step you can perform:
Reset your Roku remote.
and Home for 20 seconds.
Once restarted, re-pair the Roku Voice Remote Pro once again to test and see any improvements.
Hope this helps, and let us know what you find out.
Thanks,
Roku Community Team.
I don’t have a pairing button so I held the back and home buttons down for 20 seconds. While doing so, the white led on the remote started to blink and then went out. After that, it was not necessary to re-pair the remote, so I’m not sure if the remote actually reset. I repeated the process, with the same result.
Shortly after this, I coughed one time and the “listening” notice popped up on the screen.
Thanks for the update, @Pittpa

It turned on my TV and AV receiver again while I was listening to music on my Echo device. I only have a few days left to return this remote. How do I initiate a return?
