My Roku remote consumes batteries at an unacceptable level.
I've gone through this forum and have tried all the suggested remedies.
Nothing helps.
My device is less than a year old. Please help.
Hi @Ummagumma1969,
Thanks for reaching out here in Roku Community.
We're more than happy to look into this further. May we ask what Roku remote you have, a simple or voice remote? Have you tried to re-pair your remote to see if it helps? What troubleshooting steps have you already taken to try to resolve the issue?
For reference on how to re-pair your Roku remote visit this page: How to fix your Roku voice or simple remote that is not working
We'll be waiting for your feedback.

Nimfa
I have 7 Rokus through TCL tvs and sticks. All have battery drainage issues. Please acknowledge the problem and solve it. I've tried all your troubleshooting ideas numerous times and nothing works. I'm going through battery weekly, sometimes more often. It's ridiculous. FIX it, please!

Hello @Force,
Thanks for your first post in the Roku Community!
We're here to help. Could you tell us more details about the issue you are running into? What troubleshooting steps have you already taken to try to resolve the issue? Does your Remote support private listening? If so, how frequently are you using private listening to your Roku remote?
Keep us posted with the details.
Regards,
Nimfa
RokuNimfa-C, you say frequently you are here to help and we'd all like to believe that but most of us continue to buy many new batteries to replace prematurely drained batteries by your remotes. If you really want to help, acknowledge the problem and tell us how/when Roku will solve this long-standing problem.
Looking forward to a response that really shows us all you are here to help.

Again, do something other than your standard response. We have a problem, you've known about it for years and you continue to do nothing. Terrible!
Thanks for your post.
If the remote is not properly paired to the Roku TV/device it will drain the batteries in a few days. To confirm, have you tried to repair the remote and does it help?
As stated previously in this thread, if you are experiencing an issue with remote battery drain, please provide the serial number of your Roku device from Settings>System>About. I'll be able to assist you further from there.
Keep us posted.
Regards,
Nimfa
