I unplugged it and plugged back in and now it works fine. Very weird.
I am having the same issue on all my Rokus, 4 devices. I am plugged into the wall. I have 3 roku ultras and 1 roku soundbar pro and all devices are having issues with skipping channels. I just started 3 days ago after 3 years of not doing it.

Mine just started last week. I can't make choices in the shows I want to watch or certain letters during a search because its skips over things. It jumps over 3 things instead of landing one at a time. I have the Roku Express 4 K. So far several people have posted the same problem and no one has a solution.
I have the same issue but only for Hulu. Other services (Netflix, Amazon, Max) are OK. It's a weirdly specific anomaly. It's frustrating.
The only thing that worked for me was unplugging the tv and waiting a few minutes to let it restart. I haven’t had any problems since.
Unplug and plug back in. It fixed the same issue for me.
To clarify ... unplug the Roku and plug back in.
You can do both unplug your Roku and your tv. But the unplugging my tv for about a minute was what worked for me. I haven’t had any issues since.
I have had this issue for a few months now, also. Going thru System Restart works, but only for a few days or a week. Then the problem starts up again. Until we get a final solution, I've been restarting it once a week, to keep ahead of the glitch. Meanwhile, I keep hoping for ROKU to clean up the malfunction.
