Multiple use remote for TV and Roku box

Looking for one remote control that will turn LG TV on and off - control volume on the TV - and also control an external Roku box. Anyone know if such a remote exists ? And if so what remote control model that will work as I wish.

Please and thank you.

Re: Multiple use remote for TV AND roku box

The Roku model can't be a Roku Stick for it to be controlled by cheap aftermarket IR universal remote. I like a lot is the Onn 6 universal remote from Walmart:

onn. R113663 6-Device Universal Remote - Walmart.com

Or made by the same manufacturer the Insignia at best buy:

Insignia™ 5-Device Backlit Universal Remote Black NS-RMT5D21 - Best Buy

These are IR - but all Roku Boxes are not IR

Correct. There is no third party remote for Roku players that use WiFi Direct. They are all IR only, and the only Roku players they will work with are the non-Stick models. Every version of the Roku Stick (the one that plugs directly into the TV without using an HDMI cable) is WiFi only for the remote. IR remotes cannot be used on them. @Tivoburkee provided an example of a remote that does what you ask, but again it won't work with a Roku Stick.

Re: Multiple use remote for TV AND roku box

Now, that we got the case of sticks out of the way. Even if your Roku model came with wifi remote, it will still accept IR commands from an aftermarket universal remote as long as you have line of sight from the universal remote to the front of the Roku.

Re: Multiple use remote for TV AND roku box

And the other side of the coin, that nobody has mentioned yet...

The two Roku WiFi remotes currently available (Voice Remote and Voice Remote Pro) also contain ability to control limited TV functions directly via IR:  power, volume, mute.  They must be configured to use the correct IR command set needed by the TV.

This seems to be what was being asked for in the original post.
