I am out of town. I have my roku but I forgot my roku remote. I have the roku app on my phone and I know I can use it as a remote. The only thing is, I need to connect my roku to the same wifi as my phone. But I can't do that without the actual remote. Any suggestions?

Unless you can configure the WiFi to the same exact SSID name/password (and even then it may have an issue connecting), you'll need a/the remote.
