Ok and and right move buttons only respond after a very hard press. So far i have cleaned the remote from inside and re paired it as suggested as a solution but this hasn’t helped. What else can i try? Thanks
Hi @Askc,
Welcome to the Roku Community! We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your Roku remote. To better help you, could you please share the following details:
1. What is the serial number of the device that is paired with the remote?
2. Did you purchase this remote separately, or did it come with the device? If purchased separately, when did you get it?
3. When did you start experiencing the issue?
We also suggest resetting your Roku remote by pressing and holding the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 20 seconds. After doing so, pair it again.
We'll be anticipating your response as we are more than eager to help you get back on streaming.
Thanks,
Jharra
Thanks that didn’t help - had already tried.

Since you've demonstrated you can open your remote up and reassemble it ...
I have rejuvenated dead or dying keys on remotes for several different devices over the years by applying a conductive coating to the bottom of the rubber key where it would contact the circuit board when pressed.
Initially I used conductive paint I had on hand for repairing painted on defog/deice traces for car windows. Since then I use a product made explicitly for repairing keypads.
Here is one such product on Amazon that I have used successfully: https://www.amazon.com/Keypad-Restore-Conductivity-Carbon-Copper/dp/B0026PRMVM
Thank you for the tips, perhaps I can use it to repair in future. For now I have been offered a free replacement.
