This is a feature request. I would absolutely pay $30 for a remote with this feature.
For me, headphone mode usually isn't about keeping things quiet. It's about being able to walk around while I'm listening. Just one problem. while walking around, remote in pocket, a button will inevitably be pressed and what I'm listening to will be interrupted. It's pretty obnoxious.
I would love to be able to lock the keypad somehow. Whether it be done using a switch, a particular button press combination, or something else, being able to avoid interrupting the content would increase my satisfaction with my Roku.
I can resort to using the smartphone app, but it is less reliable and seems more distance-sensitive.
Thanks Roku!
I have to put the remote somewhere, my pocket, and when I do, a button will inevitably be pressed
Turns out my Roku (4800X) supports bluetooth wireless headphones. Only discovered this today, though the feature has been around. Surprised I wasn't aware.
Solves my issue, assuming I don't have range issue.
Interesting request. I've experienced a similar problem myself on occasion.
Here's the place Roku has set up for feature suggestions:

Seems like everything there just drops into a black hole, but if you feel like giving it a go ....
