Issue: The remote on my Roku Express 4K+ had CEC capabilities that were working perfectly fine. I could use the remove to change the volume on the TV and power it off/on. But following something that happened (details below), this no longer works. I tried using the settings, etc. and verified that CEC is still configured on the TV (Samsung AnyNet).
Questions: Any suggestions on how to deal with this? Has Roku made some kind of update that introduces a bug or has decided my TV is "too old"?
What happened: Recently -- seemingly out of nowhere -- the Roku said I need to repaid the remote to the TV. It guided me through the process and then wanted to guide me through the CEC settings (trying code 1, code 2, etc.). It then decided it could not use CEC with my TV, even though it clearly had been working.
Thank you for considering this.
Thank you @RokuERey
Answers:
Have you received any updates on your device? Presumably yes as the Roku is configured for updates.
Or have you made some changes to your WiFi recently? No
Also, have you tried performing a restart on your device to see if you're still seeing the same issue going on? I unplugged both TV and Roku, then went back to configure TV control and everything now works.
Footnote: Powering off probably fixed it but I can't be 100% sure. There is a series of "Still hear music" questions and when I did this earlier I kept clicking "Yes" "Yes" "Yes" (snooze...). This time I realized the "correct" answer to the last question was "No". I may have clicked "Yes" before (duh!).
So for future readers of this post: Don't rush the answers (like I did) and try rebooting as suggested by @rokuerey.

One more thing...
For my TV, CEC Setup does not work for TV Control. I had success using IR Setup.
