Ditto!   I am doing a reset to see if that wipes it out, it should. I have disabled it in the app settings so it no longer activates when hitting the power button, but I hate looking at it on the home screen..

I DO NOT WANT Backdrops. I have selected "remove app" over 20x. Each time it reappears on my home screen. Please fix this issue. No customer should be forced to have apps or features they DO NOT WANT.

Have clicked on app and pressed * to remove. It goes away and then returns next time I turn the TV on.

TV Information:

  • Make and Model:
  • Tracker ID (to obtain this, press the Home button five times, followed by the Back button five times when the issue occurs).

Steps to Reproduce the Issue: Please outline the steps you take that lead to the issue you're experiencing.

Once we have this information, we can pass it along to the appropriate Roku team for further investigation. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Please STOP automatically  reinstalling this application as I did not want it nor do I want to use it.

 

Keeps reinstalling on my old roku device and on my TCL roku tv. I have deleted it multiple times on both devices.

 

Certainly your software developers can find a way to do that. (I am a long time software engineer.)

I have two different Roku TV's, so I doubt that it is related to specific models frankly.  VERY annoying and takes up memory.  a 40" TCL Roku, and a 49" TCL Roku. 49" model is 49S405, Hardware ID: 712X.  Software is 13.1.4, build 1510-30

    The problem is in the programming the went into creating BACKDROP. 

    For one......the REMOVE command doesn't have a corresponding "action".
