This morning when I tried using Roku Media Player it would go back to the Home Screen every time I tried. I disconnected power and held the power on button for 30 seconds to drain any remaining charge. When I plugged it back in it tried many times to boot but repeatedly went back to the initial boot screen. After a few minutes it is now in recovery mode.

My TCL tv is doing the same this morning. Does anyone know if there was a recent update?

I was told that most likely it's the motherboard. I just threw mine out the window. It pissed me off. I was also told that it is possible that there could've been some type of bug put in software. I don't know tho.

hi, after so many tries ,  I just unplugged all cables connected to tv, tried  the update with wireless wifi and it worked. 

it looks to me that my WIFI was not letting to do the upgrade of OS for the tv,  when the HDM cable was connected to the tv.

I have mine working again after doing a factory reset and then and update during setup. Perhaps you should try that before you get a new tv.

•  Tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
• Could you send us a photo or video clip?
• What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?

Once we have this information, we will be able to pass it along to the appropriate Roku team to investigate further.

I tried that for hours. Didn't do anything. All it does is go back recovery mode. I've watched YouTube and tick tock videos. Nothing works

Same I'm putting in the wifi password and downloading the update it restarts and reaches back to Recovery Mode
