Above are my version details… Unfortunately, after experiencing this all last week, I can’t reproduce it now, even with recordings that gave me trouble last week. But I don’t have any new recordings to try with. Will let you know (with tracking ID) when I hit it again. But it happened at least 5-6 separate times last week. It was always with YouTubeTV, and always when I fast forwarded after the recording passed a certain point in the recording (seems like it was when it was passed about half way, but that’s not exact). The only thing that has changed is that I got mad and unplugged my Streambar since Friday and put in a normal Roku (Premiere?). I plugged the Streambar back in to capture the info below and haven’t hit the problem again yet.
other troubleshooting steps:
- disconnected and reconnected from Wi-Fi, restarted Wi-Fi, etc
- rebooted (both soft and hard) the streambar
- uninstalled and reinstalled the YouTubeTV app

I had two recordings where this could be reproduced as recently as Saturday morning. 4/24 6:30pm KPIX broadcast of CBS Evening News with Nora O'Donnell. Fast Forward worked up to approx 15:05 and failed after that point. Also 4/24 SF Giants vs Mets MLB baseball on Comcast Sports Bay area. Fast Forward worked up to approx 10:12 and failed after that point.
I attempted to reproduce these now in order to get a trackerID and was unable to reproduce the problem.
In addition to posting here I did "provide feedback" in the YoutubeTV and submitted logs for both recordings, so maybe Google did something.

I have never posted here but I have the exact same issue with the Youtube TV freeze only on my Soundbar. And only on recordings the same day. I've started recording a program and try watching it later on the same day. Like the nightly news. I'll record it from 6:30 to 7:00 and try to watch it at 7:15. Get about 10-15 minutes in just fine and then when fast forwarding thru commercials it gets hung up and just a black screen with the white circle. If I go in again the next day and watch the same recording it fast forwards with no problems. This only happens on my Soundbar, not my other Roku devices. It happens on every channel (ABC, CBS, NBC). Not a huge issue for regular shows as I just wait and watch them second day. However, it is a HUGE problem for sporting events and news! This has been happening for about 10 days (prior to that it worked fine). I have tried all the "fixes" but nothing solves it!
I’ve had buffering on YouTubeTV only, not other channels, while using the Roku streambar 9102x. I tried all the suggested remedies. After I removed the streambar every channel works again, no buffering. My TV doesn’t have a HDMI ARC, only HDMI, so I used the optical cord. I wonder if buffering is a problem if you use HDMI ARC?
Ok, I was able to repo the problem (see my previous replies for version info)… Here is the tracking ID. This was during today’s Jeopardy episode. The issue happened right before double jeopardy, around the 16 minute mark, so roughly half way through it.
This was about 1/3 of the way through The Five on the Fox News Channel.
Please get this fixed!
