Is the Lifetime weather widget only good for one specific screensaver?
It's only good for screensavers offered by the same developer that offers the widget.
That doesn't appear to be the case. I tried several screensavers offered by the same developer (OKKO) and they all required payment for the weather widget. What am I missing?
Is it possible that you have more than one Roku account? Purchases are tied to the Roku account.
I've only seen "Weather Widget" mentioned with regard to OKKO screensavers. If you purchased it, does it work on any of their screensavers? You said they "all" required payment, which would imply it wasn't purchased for any of them.
No, I have only one Roku account. And the lifetime weather widget purchase works for only the one screensaver I purchased it through.
Sorry, from what I've seen here I thought they were good for all screensavers from that developer, but I could be mistaken. @Kasius is supposedly a developer for OKKO. Perhaps he can help.

Did you get any type of response? I am quite upset that I paid $10 for a single screen saver versus transferring over when I got a new screensaver.
There are so many complaints about this issue that I am shocked. Roku is allowing it to happen to their customers.
Some of us change screen savers every time there is a new holiday or season or when we feel like it, is it really fair to expect us to pay $10 for a widget per screen saver and call it “lifetime“ even if you go for the cheaper version which is monthly, it’s still expires when you change screen savers
