I'm adding a roku express 4K+ to my account which I will have 2 roku streaming sticks tied to my account when finished. So my question I need help with is, how would I setup parental controls, etc. on one roku device but have completely different setup on the other roku(roku streaming stick 3801)? My most important objective here is to setup one roku for teenage grandsons but prevent any purchases of any kind plus block what I can block to prevent them from viewing adult films and/or purchases. Will my pin prevent purchases only within roku channels/store or do I have to setup accounts with each individual app??
The 2nd roku I'm setting up for myself so I won't need the parental controls, etc for it, but I'm not certain how to do the setups individually. Any help would be so appreciated...
Thank you in advance for your time and help!

Generally, any parental controls/PIN numbers, etc are tied to the account (email address) not the device. When you setup a device so they are all linked to one account (again, the same email address), then all channels/apps, subscriptions, and account settings are shared amongst these "linked" devices.

If you setup two different accounts (two different email addresses), then you can control them individually with different account settings and different channels/apps. If you want to share any subscriptions between "unlinked" devices, just remember to subscribe directly with the subscription provider and not through Roku.
You can login to your online dashboard at https://www.roku.com/ to setup a PIN to prevent channel purchases and adding and also set parental controls.
A word of caution though. There are a few ways around all these parental settings that include casting and screen mirroring content through the Roku device or to the TV directly if so equipped that basically circumvent/go around many of the parental settings. They may not be able to physically place a channel/app on the Roku, but they may still be able to "view" it through the Roku using other devices like a laptop or mobile device/phone.
Just another Roku user... I am not a Roku employee.

Re: Settings For Multiple Roku Streaming Sticks
Thank you so much for the information. I never thought about the roku settings applying to any device tied to the same account. I absolutely thought you could setup each roku individually, I'm so glad I came here to get the answers. Just goes to show you never stop learning!
Thank you for your help and your time! It was very appreciated! Hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and an awesome weekend!
