Roku selected Default screensaver stopped working
I have severe ADHD, and for the past 5+ years, I have had the digital clock screensaver on my Roku sticks. It really helps when I am running around the house to have the time displayed on the TV at all times. The screensaver used to always work when in Home or when a show was paused on any app, except Amazon Prime. However, for some reason, in the last several months, the screensaver has stopped working in all apps, even though it is still selected as the default. Instead, I am getting the frustratingly annoying Roku rain screensaver, no matter what I do or change in the settings and even after restarting the device. PLEASE HELP! This may sound like a very small inconvenience to most but to me it is a HUGE deal for my neurodivergent brain.

To help you resolve the issue, you might consider following the steps provided below to see if it makes any difference:
- Perform a manual software update. Just navigate to Settings > System > Software update > Check now.
If the software is already on its latest, you may consider setting up your preferred screensaver by using...
- Press Home on your Roku remote
- Scroll and select Settings
- Select Theme to open the Theme menu
- Select Screensavers.
- Browse the My Screensavers section to choose an option already installed on your Roku device, or find and download a new favorite from the many available screensavers.
- Tip: When browsing lists or tile grids, press Rewind or Fast Forward on your Roku remote to jump up or down one page at a time.
- Highlight a screensaver and press OK on your remote to open the description and details.
- If the screensaver is installed, you can select Set as screensaver to switch to that screensaver.
- If the screensaver is not installed, you can see a preview by selecting View screenshots.
- To install a new screensaver, select Get screensaver if it is a "free" screensaver or Buy $X.XX if it is a "paid" screensaver.
- If you have a Roku account PIN, you must enter it to make a purchase. If you do not have a PIN and wish to protect against unauthorized purchases, learn how to create a PIN for your Roku account.
- If your payment information is out-of-date, it must be updated before continuing your purchase.
- After the new screensaver is downloaded and installed, you can select Set as screensaver to switch to that screensaver.

We're sorry to hear that this does not resolve the issue you're currently having. We need additional information to pass along to the appropriate Roku team for further review and investigation. Kindly provide the following:
- Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and OS version. (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
- Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button five times, followed by the Back button five times, and provide us with this ID)
This will allow us to thoroughly investigate the issue in order to identify and address its root cause. We appreciate your patience.

We are also having the issue of the selected screensaver not loading but the Roku name screensaver comes on instead. This issue occurs on both Roku tvs we have. Wanted to use the photo stream as screensaver but have followed the directions given and no success.

@Larrygi, do you get your selected screen saver if your device is sitting on the Home Screen? In general, you'll get "Logo rain" when a video is paused. There's nothing that can be done about it.
