We recently installed a Roku Streambar. It worked ok for the fist few weeks but now its calling for a software update. Problem is it won't let us,
When we start it up it takes 30 seconds or so then it lays the "Update needed" screen over the top of whatever we had on in the background. It prompts you to update now or update later the problem is the remote is still conturing whatever is on in the background and there is no way to click the update now.
Here is a pic of it. I have a video but it wouldn't let me upload that. Its hard to see with this but the remote is controlling what's behind the software update info
only way to get rid of it is to restart multiple times every time you turn the unit on
That's coming from your TV, not the Streambar. Use the TV's remote to handle it.
HA!! it was my TV. I have had this tv for years and never once had a software update. It started showing up right after I hooked the new Roku up so just assumed it was that. Thanks
