Hi,
This problem has been bugging me quite a while. I wasn’t able to airplay with my roku express 4K. I had tried several methods but still no luck. I would appreciate any help if anyone facing the same problem.
Here are some troubleshooting steps that I had did:
1. making sure they are under the same network. Include turning off VPN on my phone.
2. Tested iPhone on other Air play available devices. I have another TV with build in Airplay. My phone is able to detect that tv but not my Roku.
3. Firmware are updated on both of Roku and IPhone.
4. make sure airplay is turned on on Roku and screen mirroring mode is always allow
5. rebooted and restarted devices
6. tried manually key in IP address to connect my devices with Roku
I am running out of ideas on how to make it works. Please help if you know any troubleshooting methods! Much appreciated.

I have same issue. My new Roku Express 4K model 3941 with latest SW and FW can't connect to any iphone or ipad in the house. I tried everything suggested but still nothing works. Please keep me updated.

IOS Version: 17.6.1
Tracker ID: LZ-505-664
Modem and router: Google mesh
Steps tried: made sure both devices on same network, reset Roku
The same issue didn't show up with Roku Ultra.
Is there any update on this?
I have 2 more points to add:
1. Updated the IOS to 18.2 and iPad now can't even find the Roku Express on the same wifi network.
2. Tried to cast using an Android Youtube app and the cast worked.

I found out why I won’t be able to connect.
Both of my Roku and iPhone are connected to guest wifi. As it’s only provide access to internet and nothing else. Even both of them on the same network, I think it is something with the DNS setting.
