What size micro SD card is supported by Roku Ultra?
Hi @RoahCoo,
Thanks for the inquiry.
Adding a micro SD card allows you to expand the amount of internal memory available for installing channels and games from the Roku Channel Store. The micro SD card is not used for the storage of personal media such as photos, videos, or music.
For full information on this, you can take a look at this link: How to increase player memory with a micro SD card | Official Roku Support
Hope you'll find this info useful. Let us know in case you've still got any questions.
Best regards,
Mary
I'm trying to find that out myself.
Thanks for the inquiry.
For best results, we recommend a Class 2 or greater micro SD card with a minimum of 2GB storage. You can see what kind of micro SD card we sell on our Products page here: Player Accessories

I have an Ultra LT. I kept getting messages that I could simplify loading of each app or channel with an SD card. Where do I put the SD card I just got? Where is the slot for it?
I don't have an LT, but on my Ultra it's just below the HDMI connector.
Thank you, thank you.
It would be wise if that information was included with the card. Duh!
When putting in a SD card 128GB is that too big? The system seems to have problems formatting it. It got to 38% and just stopped.
The Roku Ultra will use a MicroSD card up to 32GB in size.
Good on Roku for telling us that! I purchased and opened the package for a 128GB, which my Ultra won't even recognize. Too late to return it now!
Do not feel so upset about those SD cards. I decided against putting one inside my own Ultra. Waste of money. I bought a 3 foot Ethernet cable instead for more stable internet use over WiFi. I think that's far more important in my situation.
