Roku appears to be updating how the icons are displayed in the screen, My devices all have 4 Apps across some of them on very small screens.   This should be in programming terms setup as a feature flag, and customizable by the end user.    My dad lives with us and he is 87 and cannot find the app he want to use anymore because they are too small.   Under ADA rules this should be 100% end user controlled.   If you are going to supplement your business selling ads for the Barbie move and McDonalds you can make this a  user controlled setting.   This post has been here for weeks and 8 pages of replies with no response from Roku,  It may be time to move to a different streaming device.    I can always Facebook Marketplace my Roku TV's and get different ones.   Roku, you don't need a Bud Light moment here.

1. Go to "Display Type" (or similar):

   • Inside the settings menu, look for an option related to the display or screen settings. Depending on your Roku model and software version, this option might be labeled as "Display type," "Display settings," "Screen type," or something similar. Highlight this option and select it.

Display type only lets us change the resolution, i've experimented setting lower resolutions and they all still only have the 4 column layout, have not found a customization option for this.

You likely have a roku TV, but the external devices do not have this option and really shouldn't have been rolled out to to us at all with no way to revert.

I appreciate that, but i have a feeling this going to wind up being a lot like the signal change to bring conformity between the android and ios versions where they removed other people's colored message bubbles.  The UI devs are basically going to tell us to go f*ck ourselves, please let them know that there has been massive negative feedback on this and to also have them check other sources like reddit, doesn't look like a single person on this thread likes it and I am very upset that there is no way for us to opt out or roll back this change especially since there was no update to the device itself.

Makes me wonder if you guys backdoored the product as well and just how much information you are collecting.  As another user mentioned before you all have definitely lost my trust.
