I own 10 Roku TV's for my business, yes 10. I use the Photo Streams app constantly, and thought it would be a great idea to allow GIF/MP4 compatibility. This would be great for businesses to run quick 10 second segments of advertising or anything in relation to their business. Even at home users would greatly benefit this.

For now, see if the Roku Media Player will suit. You can point it at a PC and play photos or videos on shuffle all day long.
