On my 'newer' Roku TV the top half of the screen of the TV Guide Channel used to have large icons of MY favorites. I was able to turn it off, as I stated, on my Roku TV. The method does not turn off streaming, it only hides the the large icons at the top of the screen, saving me an extra click to scroll to a channel.

I just tried it, and yes, it turns it off....but it also turns off the menus for  all of the streaming channels. 

Stations like the live news casts, Antiques Roadshow, etc. are no longer showing at all.

@IndiemikeTurning off streaming TV just to get rid of the large icons is a dumbass idea at best. Hey, how about you toss your RokuTV in the trash to fix the problem as well? Unplugging the TV would fix it as well! Your lack of understanding the problem is painfully obvious.

Hey Dumbass retard, according to what you posted below, yes it does:

"To turn off the additional streaming channels on the Live TV grid: Go to Settings > TV Inputs > Live TV > Manage channels > check Hide streaming channels. It works"

I just did this to test it and it hides all streaming channels so you can't use them. Your instructions are for turning off streaming channels and only showing OTA channels. What pert of "Hide Streaming Channels" do you not understand?

And it's "STREAMING" not "steaming".

I agree it really sucks. Why can't we have choice to delete it?

I solved it by deleting the roku live tv and using Plex and Pluto. I'll solve it further next time I buy a TV and go with something other than roku.
