Black lines on the top of the screen

This morning a bunch of black lines appeared on the top of the screen. No damage has been dealt, these are completely random.

If it was only on the menu screen, not only would I not worry about it (and I probably wouldn't even notice it just like I ignore ads on the home screen...hint hint Roku), I would not even bother to mention it. Start worrying if the content is affected.

Welcome to the Roku Community!

We understand you're having a problem with the black lines that appeared on your screen. Help is here. Please follow these steps:

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote.
  2. Scroll and select Settings.
  3. Select System.
  4. Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.
  5. Select System Restart.

If the problem still persists, please keep us posted on what you find out.
