how do i connect tcl roku tv to wifi without remote?

I just got this tcl roku tv from facebook marketplace, but it never came with a remote. The person I bought it from said she had trouble connecting to the wifi. Is there any way to connect it to a new wifi without the remote? Or do I have to buy a new remote and roku thing to connect it? I also have the app but obviously I can’t connect to the tv without wifi.

Re: how do i connect tcl roku tv to wifi without remote?

Hi @amara25,

A warm welcome here in the Roku Community!

We understand you're having trouble in connecting your Roku TV to your home network without the Roku remote. No worries! We're happy to help. Please be advised that you will require a physical Roku remote in order to enter your network password when connecting your Roku TV. Before utilizing the Roku mobile app to connect to your Roku TV, you must first complete this step. You may buy a replacement remote in our accessories store here if you've lost yours or need one.

If there's anything else that we can do to assist you, please let us know.

Best regards,

John
