the second i turn on my tv it automatically shuts off and if it does stay on the second i press any button on the remote it powers off is there anything i could do to solve this problem? i can use the roku app for now but it is not convenient having to search for the roku app in search bar when i could just use the standard remote

Please contact your TV's manufacturer directly to report this issue and request additional support. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support and warranty services for their products running the Roku OS.
