Video on all streaming providers will not play

For the last couple days I am unable to get video on any of my streaming providers to play. I get to the item I want to watch and it just freezes on the first frame of the video. Then it buffers for a little while and then the screen goes black. Any ideas as to what is causing this?

On your Roku handset go to settings>system> power and do a system restart. Someone replied to me and it worked for me.
