Since installing my Roku streambar, the numbers for volume level don’t show unless in a Roku station. When watching regular tv it only shows Vol + or Vol - with the word receiver underneath it, but no actual volume level. With the Roku remote in regular tv, it adjusts the volume but doesn’t show anything on the screen. Model 9102R - Roku Streambar TV is a Samsung Samsung 55" LED 4k UHD Model: UN55JU6500FXZA
Is the streambar connected to hdmi-ARC? Or just a hdmi input? On the samsung tv?
HDMI-Arc. I have another Samsung tv in the other room with a streambar and it does the volume numbers as expected.
Try refreshing the cec devices in your tv settings. They have to recognize each other as a cec device.
Thanks. I shut off CEC and turn it back on, then it seems like sound is coming from both the TV and sound bar for a bit. Seems to synchronize back up. The numbers show, until I go over to Roku, or shut the tv off. Then reverts back.
I've got the same problem. I have the Streambar through the HDMI-ARC (#2) input and my ATT Uverse receiver throught the non-ARC HDMI input. The CEC is enables. The volume level shows when the Streambar is engaged, but when switching to Uverse receiver, just + and - sign show with the word "receiver." No vulume level numbers.
Thanks for the post.
