Hi @DaveS2
Thanks for posting, and welcome to the Roku Community!
We appreciate you letting us know about the trouble you've encountered with your TCL Roku TV and your inquiry about how to factory reset it.
For this matter, you can follow the steps below to perform a factory reset from the Roku device settings:
- Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
- Scroll up or down and select Settings.
- Select System
- Select Advanced system settings.
- Select Factory reset
- Select Factory, reset everything, and follow the on-screen instructions.
You may also use the physical button on your Roku TV. It is located on the back or bottom of your device, and the physical Reset button is either tactile or has a pinhole design that requires a straightened paperclip. It will appear similar to one of the following:
Once you locate the Reset button and your Roku device is powered on, press and hold the button firmly for about 10 seconds. When the factory reset is complete, an indicator light or status LED will blink rapidly on most Roku devices.
After a successful factory reset, your Roku device will restart in the same state as a factory-new device.
For more detailed information, visit our Support article on Factory resetting a Roku streaming device.
We hope this helps! Let us know if you still have any questions.
All the best,
Chel

Re: TCL ROKU TV Stuck with the google circles
Thanks for that
Can you confirm that there is in fact a hard reset button or pin hole on the 40S615 model. As mentioned there is no indication of any of these on the TV units body.
The TV is unresponsive to the remote so it cant be done via the remote.
After reconnecting the TV to power the TCL symbol comes up and then it just sits in the google 4 circles
Thanks

Re: TCL ROKU TV Stuck with the google circles
Thanks for keeping us in the loop, @DaveS2.
The physical reset button on a TCL Roku TV is located on the back of the TV, near the HDMI and USB sockets. It looks like a small pinhole, as you can see in the picture above.
Feel free to keep us posted.
All the best,
Chel
