Steaming services playing "zoomed in"

In the last 2-3 weeks, 99% of the time I try to watch anything from a streaming app on my 4 yr old Hisense Roku 50" TV model 50R6+, it plays in some kind of "zoomed in" way that only allows me to view about 1/3 of the actual video. I have rebooted, unplugged and waited 15 minutes, and even tried every possible setting while watching these videos.....yet nothing fixes it. Randomly, it will finally work for 1-2 shows or a movie, only to revert back to "zooming in". I've been able to watch 4 shows and 1 movie since this started. I can't allow this to keep going on anymore. If I can't get a 100% working solution soon, I will be replacing this TV with a non-Roku TV. This is completely unacceptable.

The TV is running software version 12.0.0, Build 4182. It says updates are current when I try updating.

Started happening to me too, specifically on HBO Max

Re: Steaming services playing "zoomed in"

MAX is where I first had it happen. After a few reboots, an unplug/wait/restart, and some threatening the TV later, I got one show to work....before it reverted back to the issue. AppleTV was the next service to have it happen. Hulu, Netflix, and even Paramount+ had it happen. My current workaround until I decide what to do, is a FireTV stick I usually use for traveling.
