Roku tv set up issue (lost remote control)

I took my Roku TV to a friends house and when I brought it back home I had lost the remote. I can’t set it up with my phone because it says they’re not connected on the same network but I can’t set up my wifi again because I lost the remote. It’s a built in Roku tv. Does anybody know how to solve this ?

Could I possibly buy a Roku remote and somehow pair it with my tv ?

Re: Roku tv set up issue (lost remote control)

Unless you can configure your Wi-Fi to match the last network it was connected to (same SSID/network name and password) you'll need a physical remote.  If your TV has an Ethernet port you may be able to connect an Ethernet cable and use the app to connect to Wi-Fi, but I'm not sure about that.

Either of the Roku voice remotes will pair to your Roku TV.  You can get one from Roku or you should be able to find them at Walmart, Target, or Best Buy.  The simple remote will not work with TVs.  Many universal remotes also support Roku TVs.
