Love my Roku Ultra, and get excellent audio output with just an HDMI output to my FireTV. If Roku audio plays successfully thru my TV speakers, why do I not get Roku audio when trying to connect my TV to an soundbar? Have tried all possible connections: Bluetooth, RCA, and optical cable. All play TV audio, but not when I switch to Roku apps...Youtube, Netflix, etc. Any ideas?
Hi, @Edk1951!
Welcome, and thanks for posting here in the Roku Community!
We truly understand that you wanted to bypass the audio from your Roku Ultra to your Soundbar.
Could you please share the specific model of your soundbar? If it's a third-party soundbar, which means it's not made by Roku, we suggest reaching out to the manufacturer's support team for specialized assistance. Additionally, it may be helpful for you to consult your television's user manual, as it contains important information on how to adjust the audio output settings that are compatible with your Roku Ultra. This will ensure you get the best sound experience possible.
In the meantime, you can visit this support article: How to set up your Roku® streaming player for surround sound.
