I have a Roku Sharp 65" television that I purchased about 3-4 years ago. Recently, it became stuck in a loop where it shows a dark grey screen with the "SHARP/Roku" logo for a second, then goes black for several seconds and comes back.
I attempted the remote reset trick, disconnecting the power for various extended periods of time, and also pressing the reset button. My results were as follows:
Remote reset (home five times, up once, rewind twice, and fast forward twice): no result, screen continues to flash the logo and go black
Power disconnect (tried for one minute, ten minutes, and overnight): no result, screen continues to flash the logo and go black immediately upon reconnection to power
Reset button: I pressed it with my finger (it felt like it was depressed), and also with a pen tip and a paperclip for 60 seconds. Again, no results. The screen continued to flash the logo and go black.
I've seen reviews recommending purchasing new hardware, but I'm not interested in spending more money on a television that I already paid Sharp and Roku for. Does anyone know how to fix this problem, or should I get a new television from a more reliable brand?
