Would doing this have any effect on my other devices? I have another TV and 3 other devices with the same account.
Hello Roku Community Users!
Thanks for your post,
We have passed your information to the appropriate Roku team to investigate further. Once more information is available, we will update this Community thread. We appreciate your patience and understanding in the meantime.

If you use a different email address (which then creates a new Roku account), the device(s) on this new account will no longer be linked to your other devices. Would not be able to share subscriptions across all devices if you purchase subscriptions through Roku.
Some users like having multiple Roku accounts so they can set up seperate devices. (ie. kids, parents, etc).
Was really just recommending this as a troubleshooting step to see if this may be simply an account issue (or a network error associated with the account), as opposed to a firmware, RokuOS, or a hardware issue causing this error. That is why I would try the new account using a hotspot during setup. (helps to eliminate the network as a culprit).
My ONN Roku TV will not update. It wouldn't update Disney originally which let to a 004 error. It goes to 2% and refuses to update. I've tried to secret menu many times where it goes to 55% and then won't update. I've tried reconnecting to wifi, resetting my router, using a wired connection, system restart, factory reset, I've tried everything and this TV will not update. I'm ready to throw it out. And now I can't even seem to reconnect to wifi to get any apps because on the TV rendering it useless.
Hey I just spent 3 hours on the same issue. Tried updating from wired and wifi, factory reset with USB nothing worked.
Then I found that there’s a small reset button on the back of the tv that you can hold down for 30 seconds to get to the Recovery Menu.
From there you can run a firmware update over wired or wifi and it worked first try.
The reset button is a very small pinhole button near the HDMI ports.
I hope this solves your headache. Support on this issue is useless.
We're delighted to have you as a part of the Roku Community!
We would be more than happy to investigate further, but we will need further details. Can you please provide us with the following information:
Once we have this information, we can pass it along to the appropriate Roku team to investigate further.
We look forward to working with you to help resolve this issue.
Thanks,
Arjiemar
Wish I seen this before I reset lol, I am having this exactly issue, did your issue get resolved?? @Shae5714
Unfortunately not! We’ve had to hook our xbox back up to it in order to use it as it still will not update
**bleep**, now my tv won’t even let me use it because I did the factory reset. It still won’t update do now just goes back to the wifi set up
I know it’s quite annoying. I would call Roku and hopefully they can send you some warranty paperwork or something
