My new Roku Brand TV turns itself back on after being powered down. I have tried several suggestions found on the web and no luck fixing it.
Disabled screen saver.
Turned on Fast Start.
Used the restart function in settings.
Pointed remote away from the TV after turning off.
Deleted the Roku app from my phone.
Any other ideas before I return this thing?
I would try disconnecting them to see if it still happens. If not, connect them one at a time to find the offending device. Roku devices (not TVs) have something called "1-touch play" that when enabled will turn on a TV when a button on the Roku remote is pressed. Perhaps one of the two devices has something similar.
Do you have anything connected to the TV that could be doing it?
There are 2 things connected via HDMI.
One is a Chomecast.
The other is the AV Reciever. (Used to see the menu on the AV Receiver when needed.)
The optical output is connected to the Receiver for sound.

I think we got the problem fixed.
We did some troubleshooting with Roku Support over chat, and they had my reset the network connection and then set the connection backup, check for updates and then restart the TV.
However I think the real issue was the Chromecast we had plugged it. We were powering it from the USB on the TV. We woke up one morning and the Chromecast was active (Network connection light blinking) when it was off the night before. So I think that the Chromecast was coming on for updates or whatever and that was turning on the TV.
We have removed it and now use the built-in screen mirroring when we want to display our laptop screen on the TV.
Thanks all for the assistance!
Thank you! I'm sure this is what fixed the issue.
