Pairing is for roku streamers and roku remotes. An aftermarket remote like xfinity might have a IR code that controls roku tv, it won't be a roku code, it'll be a tv code. What brand of Roku tv do you have?

I have a TCL ROKU TV. How do I pair my Xfinity remote?
- svsekaran6 years agoNewbie
the codes (TCL,Admiral, etc) didn't work for me, but this did (for volume, power, and input buttons) !
If it has a Setup button:
- Turn on your TV.
- Press and hold Setup until the light at the top of the remote changes from red to green.
- Enter 9-9-1. The light should flash green twice.
- Keep pressing CH ^ until the TV turns off.
- Once the TV turns off, press Setup to lock in the code.
- Press the TV power button on the remote. If the TV turns on, you're all set!

Try tv codes under such brands as Admiral, Dynex, Insignia, and Sansui. For directions on actually entering the codes see you cable box manual. Or do google search for pdf of your remote model.

The codes affiliated with the ADMIRAL brand worked. I was able to pair volume and power buttons on the XFinity remote with the Roku TCL tv.

I have an RCA Roku tv, does anyone know what the Xfinity code is to use the cable remote?
- Tivoburkee6 years agoCommunity Streaming Expert
The Rca Roku tv uses the same code as Tcl Roku tv, so try the Admiral codes also.
Other Roku tv brands that will use the Admiral code include Insignia, Onn, Westinghouse, Magnavox, Jvc, Sanyo, Philips.
For sure the Hisense and Sharp Roku tv's do not use the Admiral, they use the Goldstar, LG, or Vizio code set.

Code 10463 for admiral tv worked for tcl roku 55 inch tv with the Xfinity latest remote.

I have a sharp roku and I need to put the internet back on the tv. All I have is a Xfinity remote.

Thanks for the inquiry.
If you need to reconnect your Roku TV to your wireless network, you will need your Roku TV remote to do so.
If you need a replacement remote for a Roku TV, you would need to contact your TV manufacturer. You can contact Sharp here: http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/ContactUs.aspx or at 1-888-935-8880.
You can also purchase a remote that is compatible with your Roku TV here: https://www.roku.com/products/accessories/roku-tv
Thanks,
Danny

I have a Hitachi model 55R83 and I would like to use my Xfinity Flex remote. However, when trying to pair it, it will never pair. It will endlessly try new codes, but never successfully connects. How can I get it to allow me to enter the code manually?
- Tivoburkee6 years agoCommunity Streaming Expert
It looks like it uses UEI codes, if you find the steps, try codes 10463 or 10178. Or if by brand try try Admiral or LG.

Thank you for those codes. If anyone knows the buttons that I can press in order to have the ability to try those codes manually, I would be very interested in knowing these. Otherwise, I can't use this superior remote!
I did find that I can press the Xfinity and Information buttons simultaneously and that allowed me to pair the voice button (only). It then gave me the option to pair the Channel and Volume buttons, but it took me through the endless cycle as mentioned above.
Here's hoping for a solution. I feel like I'm this close...

Just to clarify, when I said it will "endlessly try new codes" I meant that it will endlessly try to "search" for new codes. It never finds any and never gives me the opportunity to enter a code manually. It only gives me the option to try again or give up. This is my dilemma. There's not a way to manually enter the code

So try the tv codes under admiral.

The second admiral code worked for mine. Also, once you do get your remote working you won’t need the Roku remote anymore. Use the X15 tv input button to select cable or any other devices you have hanging off the TCL. Found that by accident. Enjoy...

Use the LG or Vizio code. Code 10178.

Anybody managed to make the Roku commands work on a TCL TV, i.e. up, down, left, right, home, etc. I've tried manually inputting codes for TCL and admiral as suggested, the "9-9-1" method, but all I can manage to do is turn on/off and control volume. Still need the Roku remote if I want to go back and watch Netflix, for example. I have a TCL #65S535

I have a JVC ROKU. Everything was working fine and suddenly my Xfinity remote doesn't work. I have no idea if I accidentally pressed some button or what. If you can explain it to me please pretend you are explaining to a rock, I'm just that dense when it comes to things like this. Thank you.
