Combing speakers wired to amp with soundbar
- I have recently purchased the TCL 55RC650K Roku TV 55" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR QLED TV along with the TCL S643WK 3.1 Wireless Sound Bar with DTS Virtual:X. I have connected this to the TV via a HDMI cable.
I really can't hear voice very well on the soundbar even when on voice mode and/or with voice enhance. The music and other sound effects is soooo much louder. I have tried lots of different audio settings and I think it's just a weakness of the soundbar. I'm thinking to add in a pair of wired speakers I have via an amp.
My question is will my TV be able to play sound through both the TCL soundbar and sub wired in via HDMI alongside my amp and speakers wired in to TV?

Re: Combing speakers wired to amp with soundbar
Hi, @DaveBristol welcome to the Roku Community!
Thank you for bringing to our attention the issues you're encountering with your Roku device. We appreciate your patience and would be happy to assist you in resolving this matter.
Have you considered checking out the volume settings in your Sound Settings?
Use the following steps to change sound settings:
- Start streaming or playing your content
- Press Star on your Roku remote
- Select Advanced Sound Settings or Sound settings
- Choose your sound mode or change your sound settings
You can choose from the following sound modes.
- Standard: Basic audio mode for general use
- Dialogue: Conversations are easier to hear over background sounds
- Movie: Optimized for an immersive movie theater-like experience
- Music: Unaltered sound, authentic like the artist intended
- Night: Optimized for listening at lower volumes with less bass
When you're done, press Back until the menu is closed.
We hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you need further assistance.
Thanks,
Jharra

Re: Combing speakers wired to amp with soundbar
Hi Jharra.
You clearly failed to read what I have already tried. You also failed to read my question or even try and answer it. You just provided some general info about sound settings despite me explaining I was already well aware of them.
My question was 'will my TV be able to play sound through both the TCL soundbar and sub wired in via HDMI alongside my amp and speakers wired in to TV?'
Could you please actually answer this question instead of ignoring it?

Re: Combing speakers wired to amp with soundbar
With Roku tv's you can't have both Soundbar and built-in Tv speakers or outboard speakers taking the tv's speakers' place. Even if they were all Roku branded. And if they were all Roku branded it would be paired through the Roku soundbar not the Roku Tv. So, you can't do what you're asking.
